Redberry Farm

Rows upon rows of juicy strawberries await you at Redberry Farm situated on the Geelhoutboom Road just outside of George.

Choose a container at the Farmstall and be guided to the 'pick your own' fields by the friendly Redberry staff.  The best time for picking these bright red, sweet berries is from August to January but at Redberry Farm, there are strawberries all year round. 

No eating is allowed in the fields but once your containers are crammed full of these nutritious fruit, exit the field and indulge then head for the Tea Garden for the most delicious farm fresh treats. 

Wooden tables and chairs are shaded by umbrellas with the majestic Outeniqua Mountains in the background, perfect for Mom and Dad to relax while the children play on the various swings and jungle gyms.

The tea and scones are an experience not to be missed where the oven-fresh scones are topped with farm butter, home made strawberry preserve and fresh clotted cream. Shop at the Farmstall which stocks all sorts of strawberry delights such as strawberry liqueur, strawberry jam, strawberry syrup etc. as well as deli foodstuff and other unique products.

Redberry Farm also caters for birthday parties and any other special events.  Tour groups, pensioner groups or school groups are also welcome with prior bookings.

A mega strawberry maze will be launched soon adding to the wonderful Redberry Farm experience.

R5 entry fee per person regardless of age.

Container sizes: Approx. 500g - R10 / Approx. 1kg - R20


Open Monday to Saturday from 09h00 to 16h00

Closed on Sundays, Christmas Day and Good Friday
