Herolds Bay Eco Resort

Herolds Bay Eco Resort is situated approximately 17km outside of George and currently consists of two separate venues and a guesthouse and offers many outdoor activities. DOWN TO EARTH RESTAURANT This is the main function venue which has huge wooden deck overlooking beautiful  landscape and the blue Indian Ocean beyond.  Mostly traditional country style dishes are served includind favourites like oven baked leg of lamb and the wine cellar boasts a wide selection of handpicked South African wines.  This venue can seat up to 100 guests. A LA CARTE MENU ON SUNDAYS THE BUSH LAPA The Lapa is set in an African rustic  theme with traditional food cooked on an open fire.  The open-air setting is unique and one can sit around the fire gazing at the stars and the glittering lights of Mossel Bay in the distance.  Each   December, the Bush Lapa hosts a music festival as the stage in the center provides the perfect setting for a host of local artists to perform.  The Bush Bar is situated within the Lapa and the entire venue can easily accommodate up to 300 guests. Accommodation is also available in the old family homestead consisting of four self-catering Units namely Tiptol,  Jangroentjie, Wielewaal and Suikerbekkie (full details of these units is available on the website). Activities available at the resort include paint ball and a golf driving range.   The resort also offers zorbing, quad  bike trips and archery.  For the more adventurous, there is a walking trail through a Blue Gum plantation, fynbos and grassland areas.  The Herolds Bay beach is only 3km away.
